August 14th, seventeen years ago, this new journey began for my family and me. During the times of uncertainty and guilt, I depended on God to give us the strength we needed to fight this life-long fight. I began to understand that I was given the task to be the voice for those without a voice. It was my duty to learn about this disease i

During the times of uncertainty and guilt, I depended on God to give us the strength we needed to fight this life-long fight. I began to understand that I was given the task to be the voice for those without a voice. It was my duty to learn about this disease in order to not only take care of my child but to have the knowledge to advocate for Sickle Cell disease (SCD) accurately. Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area, we organized our organization exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes. More specifically, CVSAF is designed to bring awareness about SCD and provide an educational approach that best produce quality health.
